How to Read CD-ROMS produced by Quintin Publications.

If you already have Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer:

1. Put CD in your CD-ROM drive. Allow a few moments for the computer to read the CD.

2. Click (double click on some computers) on the <<My Computer>> icon on your desktop. This is usually found in the upper left hand corner on most PCs.

3. Click on your CD drive icon. This is usually your "D" drive. A new window with the CD-ROM's title should appear. 

4. Simply click on the Acrobat Reader icon for the CD-ROM that you have just purchased. The CD-ROM's contents will then appear on the screen. Content loading speed depends upon your computer's processor speed (486, Pentium I, II or III etc and the amount of memory - not disk space- you have installed).   

If you do not have Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer:

1. Put CD in your CD-ROM drive. Allow a few moments for the computer to read the CD.

2. Click (double click on some computers) on the <<My Computer>> icon on your desktop. This is usually found in the upper left hand corner on most PCs.

3. Click on your CD drive icon. This is usually your "D" drive. A new window with the CD-ROM's title should appear. 

4. You must now install Acrobat Reader which is a free program that allows your computer to read all PDF (Portable Document Format) documents. All Quintin Publications CDs are published in this manner.

5. On some of our older CDs you will see folders labeled 16BIT, 32BIT, INSTALLATION, LICENSE AGREEMENT and one or more PDF icons labeled with the title or stock number of our CD-ROM. If you do not have these folders go to step 7 below.

6. If you have a 486 class computer click (or double click depending on how you have your computer set up) on the 16BIT folder.  Within that folder you will see a setup file.  Click on that to install Acrobat Reader on your computer.  If you have a Pentium class computer go to the 32BIT folder and run setup from there. Acrobat Reader can also be downloaded free from www.adobe.com.

7. Our newer CD-ROMS have folders labeled ACROBAT READER, INSTALLATION, LICENSE AGREEMENT and one or more PDF icons labeled with the title or stock number of our CD-ROM. Click on the Acrobat Reader folder. You will see a file AR405eng. Click on this icon to install Acrobat Reader. 

8. Once you have Acrobat Reader installed close all windows. Keep the Quintin Publications CD-ROM in the drive.

9. Repeat steps 2 and 3 above

10. Simply click on the Acrobat Reader icon for the CD-ROM that you have just purchased. The CD contents will then appear on the screen. Content loading speed depends upon your computer's processor speed (486, Pentium I, II or III etc and the amount of memory - not disk space- you have installed).
