Chippewa Half-Breeds of Lake Superior
An alphabetized extraction of the applications for the Treaty with the Chippewa Indians of Lake Superior, and the Mississippi, concluded at La Pointe, Wisconsin, September 30, 1854. Many of the people applying were Canadian citizens from the Red River Settlement (Manitoba). They were generally denied the benefits of the treaty.
