An alphabetized extraction of the applications for the Treaty with the Chippewa Indians of Lake Superior, and the Mississippi, concluded at La Pointe, Wisconsin, September 30, 1854. Many of the people applying were Canadian citizens from the Red River Settlement (Manitoba). They were generally denied the benefits of the treaty. Information includes: Name of applicant, date of application, Special agent or attorney, finding and evidence taken by the commission
